There are boating events… and then there are events that truly matter.
On Sunday, August 2, 2026, Swim4Freedom returns to the waters of Lake Geneva—bringing together swimmers, supporters, and the entire lake community for a powerful cause. Hosted by Gordy’s Marine, this annual tradition is more than a swim—it’s a mission.
Swim4Freedom is a 5K open water swim that begins in Williams Bay and finishes in Fontana, right at Gordy’s lakefront.
But what makes this event truly special is why it exists.
All proceeds benefit the Special Operations Warrior Foundation, which provides full college scholarships and critical support services to the children of fallen U.S. Special Operations personnel, as well as immediate assistance to wounded service members.
Since its inception, Swim4Freedom has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars in support of these families—and continues to grow each year.
The day starts early as swimmers and their support crews gather at Gordy’s before heading to Williams Bay for the start. From there, participants take on the 3.1-mile swim across one of Wisconsin’s most iconic lakes—surrounded by support boats, cheering spectators, and a shared sense of purpose.
Whether you’re swimming solo or as part of a relay, the energy is unforgettable. And when swimmers arrive back in Fontana, they’re welcomed with a lakeside celebration that captures everything great about the Lake Geneva community.
You don’t have to jump in the water to be part of Swim4Freedom.
Every dollar raised goes directly toward supporting military families through the Special Operations Warrior Foundation.
For years, Gordy’s Marine has proudly hosted this event as part of its commitment to the Lake Geneva community and beyond. It’s a day where boating, camaraderie, and purpose come together in a way that few events can match.
From the early morning start to the final swimmer crossing the finish line, Swim4Freedom is a reminder of what this lake—and this community—is all about.
Mark your calendar for Sunday, August 2, and plan to be part of one of the most meaningful events on Lake Geneva this summer.
Swim. Support. Donate. Show up.
Because this isn’t just a swim across the lake—it’s a way to give back to those who’ve given everything.
