Giving Back

Gordy's believes strongly in giving back to and being a partner with the community. Over the years we have supported local communities and those who are less fortunate through volunteerism, fund raising and donations.

Gordy's, being a family owned business, has had 3 generations of Whowell families grow up and live in the surrounding area, with the 4th generation already in local grade schools. Gordy's and the entire Whowell family understand the importance of preserving the tradition and beauty that makes Fontana and the Lake Geneva area the wonderful place it is.

Gordy's also believes in extending our support outside our local boundaries to help those who are less fortunate and in need of help. We realize that we are just a small business and many of our contributions are just a drop in the bucket of what is needed but we hope by our example, others will join us in our causes, to hopefully touch the lives of more that are in need.

In addition to the following, Gordy's has also donated over 30 acres of land to the Geneva Lake Conservancy and goes to great lengths to beautify the land and buildings that the company owns. Tom Whowell personally spends much of his time pursuing this effort. He also donated his time to serve as the Fontana Village President for the past 6 years in an effort to give back to a community that has given him and his family so much.
